BNW follows the comedic exploits of a Los Angeles based news team as they attempt to broadcast British news
for greater London. Unknown to them is the true nature of the show and its producer's devious motives.

Mandi Mellen stars as Anne, the self consious lead anchor.
Dan Salem stars as Franklin, the overtly romantic sports guy.

Int. Anne's Apartment

Two young reporters, adorned in blond wigs and goofy glasses, stand proudly behind a makeshift news desk. A British flag is draped over the desktop and a sign in front reads 'British News.'

ANNE, a gorgeous and wispy twenty something with fake confidence, takes a seat in the anchor's chair. FRANKLIN, an awkward romantic and avid pot smoker who constantly brushes back his hair, moves before a shoddy weather map.

ANNE (British):  We all enjoy bathing with fluffy animals, but take heed and beware the ides of March. Now here's Flash Lightning with your local forecast slash sports.

FRANKLIN:  As you can see, there's a rather dark cloud over most of the country, but here in LA where we film the weather, the Lakers just whupped on the Spurs. Kobe rules. Afternoon highs range in the 70's.

A second passes before ANNE rips off her wig and glasses.

ANNE:  Did the wig make me look like a fatty?
